I had to update this today (March 2017). It was so long. OMG. Having an abundance of words is clearly not my problem. But blogging fixes that for you. Readers hate wordiness.
I am a Kenyan who has lived in Sweden for the past 4.5 years. In my former life I was a HR professonal with an MBA in HR from the University of Dallas.
I started writing in early 2014. My first blog was for a Kenyan audience but I stopped updating that since there are no copyright regulations in Kenya and random individuals used to steal my articles. That got old, so I switched sides and went all #TeamUSA in October last year. That was a good call coz no one steals my work or ideas:)
I was going on with my superficial life which consists of buying MAC lipsticks and trying to grow my natural hair. And working out. That was interrupted by a doctors visit in Stockholm on February 22.
He told me my dad had passed ataxia to me. I was sad for a nano second but remembered I have this blog and can still write. Plus God has my back so few things make me crumble. This is because I am certain He is on #TeamNyakarima.
A new hashtag was born. #theafricanataxiagirl
I can write about anything however and really need a publisher. Zondervarn. I have several books in me. They will all be bestsellers. Don’t let the African bit fool you. I am a cash cow.
Ataxia is progressive and terminal so time is ticking. Paging Zondervarn.
Lots of love, Nyakarima
